Children’s Discipleship
It is our desire that each child at New Journey Church puts their hope in God. We greatly value the opportunity we have to come alongside parents in discipling their children. At NJC, you will find a safe environment where children are known, appreciated, and taught. We do this through a variety of methods such as Sunday School, Children’s Church, AWANA, and Friday School. Any and all programming is rooted and established on God’s Word, with Jesus Christ at the center. Our teachers and staff are individuals who truly care about the children entrusted to them, support the mission to see each child put their hope in God, and have a teacher or helper’s heart.
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
Sunday School
Children are welcome to attend Sunday School classes beginning at 9 am to 9:45 am. Classes for ages 2 years through 6th grade are available.

Children’s Church
Children’s church is offered during the Sunday morning services for children ages 3 years through 3rd grade. Children are dismissed after corporate worship through song, during offering.
We have a staffed nursery program of intentional discipleship for infants to 3 years old during Sunday morning worship services, dismissed during offering.
As a church family, we respect every parent’s decision in sending their child to children’s church or keeping them with family during the church service.
AWANA
AWANA clubs are non-denominational and meet Wednesdays from 6:25 – 8:00 pm from late September through the end of April. All children from kindergarten through 6th grade are welcome to attend. The clubs include games, music, Bible lessons, and emphasize scripture memorization.
Each child receives a uniform, handbook, and book bag after completing the startup pamphlet and paying the annual $40 fee. Scholarships are available.
For safety, parents must walk children into the building at drop-off (no earlier than 6:10 pm) and pick them up inside promptly at 8:00 pm. AWANA follows the Fosston school weather cancellations—if school dismisses early due to weather, AWANA is cancelled.
